November Update

Things are going really good here in Kansas. Steve likes his job and is doing really good, he likes the guys he works with and he'll probably start flying here soon.

I'm waiting to get my books to start studying to become a Personal Trainer. Yeah...Nurse..., that went out the window, realized my gag reflex is just never gonna stop. :) Besides, I love exercise and I'll be able to help people get healthy. That excites me. Also, real soon here, in the next couple of months I'll be able to start classes online to finish my degree too. Yay! But, for now I'm just waiting, making crafts, walking Rocky, and other fun things. :) Can't complain. :)
We went to Nebraska to visit my Aunt and the family and while we were down there we got to go to the Winter Quarters Temple and to the visitors center. It was so fun and going to the temple makes me so happy. This is me with my Aunt Vicki and cousin Erin. I love these girls so much. (in the first pic we are all doing the Zack Efron stance from High School Musical).
Sad thing though, this last week my sweet Aunt had a heart attack. It was completely unexpected, she is doing just fine now though, they have sent her home already. It was just so strange. Lots of prayers were said. She's such a cute woman, the next day it happened she was already on the phone chatting with mom as if nothing had happened. Like I said, she is doing just fine now, we thank Heavenly Father for that!!!
And... it's snowing here!!!! Fun huh?!! I'm really having to get used to the cold again. Alabama didn't help me a bit with weather change! :) I sure do miss the ocean though!

Backgrounds!

Hey girls, check out the link on my page to Cristi's Creations- she's a real cute friend of ours that designs the cutest backgrounds and they are free and she has fun prize giveaways too! Check it out. Scroll down and it's on the right side.

Halloween

We had a fun Halloween this year. Just like last year we carved a pumpkin, it probably will never beat out Troy's dragon from last year but it was fun. I promise we are not obsessed over our dog, it was just such a cute (easy!) cut out, so we did it, my patience isn't the best sometimes. We FINALLY made homeade rootbeer. Easiest thing ever you guys! Thanks to mama Kuhni and sister Kristi-

Homemade Rootbeer
In a 5 gallon workers jug
-5 gallons water (not quite so there's room for bubbling)
-5 lbs sugar (we added a little extra- a cup to be precise)
-1 bottle rootbeer extract
and once you stir that together plop in 5 lbs. dry ice and watch it bubble :)
Soooo yummy!

And here we are (look up) as a deer, Rocky is a skunk, and Steve is a hunter. :) Here's some friends of ours as a fortune teller and Stewart off of Mad TV. :)

Crafty Corner

I'm just so excited! I found out that I really like to paint. I've been playing around with some crafty stuff and I just have to share my newest craft.

Can I say that it cost me a total of like $5... (supplies and all). My mom and I found the shelf at the Salvation Army, and the punkins are from a really cool store in Salt Lake City- The Wood Connection? Anyway, really cool place. I painted the punkins and then yesterday I spray-painted the shelf with black paint (which I wouldn't recomment b/c it just isn't as good as regular paint- doesn't go on as smooth). But, it worked out ok 'cause I like the old antiqued look, so I sand-papered it. :) Yay! I'm so excited! This might even be a Nikki-Grandy-approved project!!!?! :) i'll have to see. :)

Another Day!

What do you do when there is nothing pulling you one way or the other????

You cook...
clean....
organize...
do some more organizing....
read...
fix up the house all oh-so-pretty...
go for long walks with dog...
run...
drive all around your new town...
look at all the pretty trees with changing leaves (not found in AL).... hehe
go shopping...
do some more shopping....
hang out with husband when home...
sleep...
I can't wait until I can get myself on a schedule. I need one so bad. Luckily I have a new friend around the corner who is just fabulous. Her husband and Steve went to school together and they are just the cutest newly married couple. :) She and I are going to do aerobics together. We tried Belly Dancing, :) it was so awesome! I am a little sore from it, my belly of course. :) I must be honest though, I am not very coordinated in the belly. :) Yeah, not so cute, but it was alot of fun. And we are gonna go to Institute classes every other day. At first I didn't really want to go (I was being a bum) but then it dawned on me that it would be a great opportunity to learn more about the gospel. So- moral of that- "don't be a poop!" (Steven's words) I am enjoying it here in Kansas. We went to visit my relatives on Mom's side this last weekend. I got to see G-ma, G-pa, and the rest of the family that I hadn't seen in awhile. Ya know, at first Steve and I were bummed that we were coming here but I am really thankful. It's so close to family and family is really important. I can't wait to visit them again.

Update: Rocky is not smelling anymore from the Skunk spray but... he and his new cousin dog, Bella, rolled in something rather nasty smelling so... he stinks again. What am I gonna do?!!!!!!

Lifting Burdens (click the underlined part)
I just have to share this if you haven't seen it. It's such a good video, brought tears to my eyes, actually, I was pretty much in a full cry, it's just so touching. I know that Jesus loves us and died for us and that because of his atonement we can repent, change our lives for the better, and one day return to him and our Heavenly Father again. What a blessing. Hard times will come but luckily we have all been blessed with the ability to choose and to learn from whatever comes our way. Some people have some really really hard times, I just hope they know or find out soon about Jesus Christ.

Together Again!

After my trip to visit family, our vacation in Nauvoo where we saw some dear Alabamian friends, and a trip to my good friend's wedding... My husband and I are together, in Kansas, at last. :)

First off, Nauvoo was wonderful. There is such an amazing feeling there. Besides it being 33 degrees outside there, it was beautiful. I about froze my toes off. We walked around the town, went to the Nauvoo temple, and got to visit Carthage Jail where Joseph Smith was martyred. What a story. It makes me appreciate all that the saints/pioneers did to bring about the gospel even while being persecuted so heavily.

I am soooo stink'n happy to be back with my hubster. I loved being with my family thought, that was so fun to see mom and dad and my little bro. But as for my hunny, he really enjoying work and i am having fun decorating the house. :) Rocky, our dog, is bored out of his mind because there isn't a fence yet so the only time he gets outside is on a short lease or when i take him for walks. Poor baby. :( But, things are going really good. I will be starting some classes here in Kansas and some online pretty soon so that will keep me pretty busy. And I am loving this little toy that Steve got for me, a Cricut, I have been playing with it and making cute signs for the house and hopefully to sell at a Bizarre or something around here. Hopefully they will have one soon. then I can let my creative geniuses flow. :)

We sure miss our families and friends, especially all the awesome people at Rucker. If you're out there, We Miss You All!!!!!
Love, Us. :)

I will put some pics up as soon as my camera stops acting funny. :)

On the Move

So I think I will always be a once-a-monther for the blog, no matter how hard I try to keep it up I get myself busy, forget about it, and then remember that I have a blog. :) hehe

Things were so great in Utah, I just love my inlaws. The little kiddos were so cute and they are getting so big. There are 11 total and I could never ever pick a favorite because I love them all so much and they are all so different with the most adorable personalities.

Here's some fun pics from the trip. The kiddos, Rocky with Lily Belle's accessory, and us shooting with Ann Marie and Bruce.

Here's a cute pic of Kris's kids at the Gratto..?! I think that's what it is called. Rocky loved loved loved it because he got to run around in the waterfall.

Here's Matt and Liz's kids playing around in some boxes. We had a great idea to have a "hobo" photo shoot. They were hilarious.

And yay! We finally hiked the Y, Steve's brother Matt got home just in time for us to leave about a week later, we hung out with family and friends, and then took off for the new home.

We are now visting my family in MO and waiting for our new house in Kansas to be unoccupied so we can move in. Yay! I feel that I am going to really like it there.
Latest but not so greatest news... Rocky met a skunk last night and yes..... she glistened him with her aroma of love. :) He stunk soooooooo bad. We washed him with a mixture that my mom found on the internet that seems to have worked a little, but he still has a hint of nastyness lingering. He got to sleep in the garage last night. Poor baby.

It's been quite an adventure, I'll say. :)

pRiNcEsS PaRtY!

Whoa! Watch out, I'm bloggin' like crazy! :) This was so fun, I got a great idea from a friend's blog to do this and with 4 nieces, especially the three little ones who love to be princesses, it was perfect, not to mention... I secretly have always wanted to have one. :) We made bedazzled crowns, ate lots of sugary foods, painted toe nails (Steve is gonna kill me... we painted some of Rocky's toe nails), and did some cute hair does. The boys are gonna have a boy party some time next week. I just don't know how they are gonna out-do this party. It was pretty amazing. :)
